University of Maryland Global Campus

The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) graduated more than 8,000 students worldwide in fall 2021. Students from all 50 states, four U.S. territories, and 26 countries earned UMGC degrees.

More than 10,000 University of Maryland Global Campus students were named to the Dean's List for the fall semester. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.

More than 6,300 University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) students made the Dean's List for the 2021 summer term. An outstanding group of 36 students from University of Maryland Global Campus were accepted into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Monroeville resident Lisa Shaw has been awarded a Pillars of Strength Scholarship to attend University of Maryland Global Campus. The scholarship program, which offers full tuition for a bachelor's or master's degree, was created to help volunteer caregivers, usually spouses, of wounded, ill, or injured military servicemembers.

Kissimmee resident Karen Lopez has been awarded a Pillars of Strength Scholarship to attend University of Maryland Global Campus. The scholarship program, which offers full tuition for a bachelor's or master's degree, was created to help volunteer caregivers, usually spouses, of wounded, ill, or injured military servicemembers.

Springfield resident Elisabeth Baugess has been awarded a Pillars of Strength Scholarship to attend University of Maryland Global Campus. The scholarship program, which offers full tuition for a bachelor's or master's degree, was created to help volunteer caregivers, usually spouses, of wounded, ill, or injured military servicemembers.

Fort Mill resident Elisa Zanni-James has been awarded a Pillars of Strength Scholarship to attend University of Maryland Global Campus. Bonney Lake resident Connie Ozmer has been awarded a Pillars of Strength Scholarship to attend University of Maryland Global Campus. The scholarship program, which offers full tuition for a bachelor's or master's degree, was created to help volunteer caregivers, usually spouses, of wounded, ill, or injured military servicemembers.

Tacoma resident Anna Soler has been awarded a Pillars of Strength Scholarship to attend University of Maryland Global Campus. Fort Bragg resident Amanda Martin has been awarded a Pillars of Strength Scholarship to attend University of Maryland Global Campus. The scholarship program, which offers full tuition for a bachelor's or master's degree, was created to help volunteer caregivers, usually spouses, of wounded, ill, or injured military servicemembers.

Bowie resident Alison Storemski has been awarded a Pillars of Strength Scholarship to attend University of Maryland Global Campus. The scholarship program, which offers full tuition for a bachelor's or master's degree, was created to help volunteer caregivers, usually spouses, of wounded, ill, or injured military servicemembers.

North Potomac resident Volha Butkouskaya has been awarded a Pillars of Strength Scholarship to attend University of Maryland Global Campus. Bayville resident Sasha Clarkin has been awarded a Pillars of Strength Scholarship to attend University of Maryland Global Campus. The scholarship program, which offers full tuition for a bachelor's or master's degree, was created to help volunteer caregivers, usually spouses, of wounded, ill, or injured military servicemembers.

Bloomingdale Resident Melissa Allen has been awarded a Pillars of Strength Scholarship to attend University of Maryland Global Campus. The scholarship program, which offers full tuition for a bachelor's or master's degree, was created to help volunteer caregivers, usually spouses, of wounded, ill, or injured military servicemembers.

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) held a virtual stateside commencement on May 15 for more than 5,500 graduates of the Class of 2021. Worldwide, more than 13,000 students from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as 32 countries and territories, earned UMGC degrees during the 2020-21 academic year. UMGC also holds graduation ceremonies in Europe and Asia for military servicemembers and their families serving overseas.

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) students inducted into the Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX), the Legal Studies Honor Society. LEX recognizes Legal Studies majors who have demonstrated superior academic performance in the program at UMGC, including an overall grade point average of at least 3.25, plus a grade point average in their paralegal/legal studies classes of at least 3.50.
