UMGC Students Named to Dean's List

More than 9,300 University of Maryland Global Campus students were named to the Dean's List for the spring semester. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.

UMGC Holds In-Person Ceremonies for Nearly 3,400 Graduates

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) held its first in-person graduation ceremonies since 2019 during "Spring Grad Walk 2022," an innovative experience designed to accomodate thousands of graduates and guests while protecting the health and safety of the university community. More than 3,300 graduates from the classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022 and their families and guests attended "Grad Walk" over the course of six days (May 17-22). The event will take place at the College Park Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, with graduates selecting from multiple time slots to cross the stage and receive individual recognition. Worldwide, more than 13,600 graduates from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as 32 countries and territories, earned UMGC degrees during the 2021-22 academic year. UMGC also holds graduation ceremonies in Europe and Asia for military servicemembers and their families serving overseas.

UMGC Announces Fall 2021 Graduates

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) graduated more than 8,000 students worldwide in fall 2021. Students from all 50 states, four U.S. territories, and 26 countries earned UMGC degrees.

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) held a virtual stateside commencement on May 15 for more than 5,500 graduates of the Class of 2021. Worldwide, more than 13,000 students from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as 32 countries and territories, earned UMGC degrees during the 2020-21 academic year. UMGC also holds graduation ceremonies in Europe and Asia for military servicemembers and their families serving overseas.

UMGC Students Inducted into National Legal Studies Honor Society

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) students inducted into the Lambda Epsilon Chi (LEX), the Legal Studies Honor Society. LEX recognizes Legal Studies majors who have demonstrated superior academic performance in the program at UMGC, including an overall grade point average of at least 3.25, plus a grade point average in their paralegal/legal studies classes of at least 3.50.
