Burtonsville Resident Recognized by University of Maryland Global Campus for Outstanding Service to Community

William Dunn is Founder and President of The Dunn Foundation

Adelphi, MD (10/17/2024) — William Dunn, a resident of Burtonsville, has been awarded the Edward A. Parnell Outstanding Alumnus Award by University of Maryland Global Campus. Dunn earned a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management and a Management and Leadership Certificate, both in 2006.

Dunn is the founder and president of The Dunn Foundation, a best-selling author, principal owner of Iamdunn Cleaning Solutions and an adjunct professor at Montgomery College.

A former professional athlete and military war veteran, Dr. Dunn is committed to serving others. The Dunn Foundation has provided over 10,000 families across the U.S. and over 32 countries with free resources. It also leads several annual initiatives, including a free HBCU College Experience Tour, Back to School Giveaway, Turkey Giveaway, Warming Hearts for the Homeless and a Veterans Appreciation Luncheon.
